Background
The Center for Telehealth & E-Health Law (CTeL) was created in 1995 as the Center for Telemedicine Law under the vision and leadership of a number of individuals including Dr. Yadin David, Bob Waters, the Mayo Foundation, the Cleveland Clinic, the Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium, Texas Children’s Hospital.  CTeL's mission is to overcome the legal and regulatory barriers to the utilization of telehealth and related e-health services.

In 2005,
Center for Telemedicine Law changed its name to Center for Telehealth & E-Health Law to reflect the broader telehealth, e-health, and emerging technology communities we serve. CTeL looks forward to continuing to serve our communities by providing important, timely, and relevant information.  Please join our community of concerned clinicians, business leaders, public policy and legal experts as we navigate the changes to the health care system.

Among the many issues addressed in CTeL forums, conferences, workshops, and publications, include the statutory and regulatory impediments to the full utilization of telehealth services and support of emerging healthcare technologies--providing health care to patients when they need it.

CTeL has established itself as a leader in compiling, analyzing and disseminating complex legal and regulatory, and public policy information associated with telehealth and its underlying issues.CTeL fosters dialogue among diverse stakeholders with a commitment to enhancing access to healthcare services using advanced technologies.

Please join CTeL in thanking the American Hospital Association and Polycom for their long time support of the telehealth community and CTeL in particular.
