CTeL membership is open to those interested in fostering and integrating technology into health care. CTeL is delighted to have a broad base of support from an array of organizations and individuals interested in telehealth across the health care continuum:

CTeL is devoted to providing public policy expertise and analysis related to telehealth. CTeL relies on membership dues and contributions from individuals, organizations, and corporations who are interested in, the public policy, and the legal and regulatory issues surrounding telehealth, e-health and emerging technologies.     Inside Washington and Beyond keeps the telehealth community apprised of important public policy information.

  • Issue Briefs - Members receive copies of issue briefs at no additional cost.

    CTeL prepares issue briefs several times a year. These papers are thoroughly researched to provide in-depth analysis of the legal implications about telepractice issues such as licensure, privacy and confidentiality as well as fraud and abuse.

  • E-Health Update - Members receive copies of E-Health Update at no additional cost.

    E-Health Update, timely updates on issues of concern.

  • Conferences and Workshops - Members receive reduced fees for conferences and workshops. Sample Program.

    CTeL organizes a variety of conferences and in-depth workshops on issues requiring an in-depth analysis by targeted interest groups. Key Congressional and Administration officials and leading healthcare experts speak on telehealth, e-health, emerging technologies, health IT issues, and trends.

  • Publications - Members receive copies of CTeL's publications that have been published during the year for free or at substantially reduced costs.

Informal brown bag lunches are held on topics of interest, such as legislative activity, HIPAA, Internet ethics, prescribing and dispensing on the Internet and JCAHO telemedicine standards and more... Through the generosity of Partners HealthCare, CTeL previously has been able to offer members the opportunity to participate remotely.

Membership Dues


Membership dues for individuals are $175 per calendar year.  Application Form.

Membership dues for Academic Institutions, Nonprofits or Health System Networks are $750 per calendar year and allows up to 3 individuals from the same organization to participate in programs at the same reduced rates.  Application Form.

Membership dues for Corporations are $1,500 per calendar year and allows up to 3 individuals from the same organization to participate in programs at the same reduced rates.  Application Form.
