Issue Background
CTeL is convening a cross-sector roundtable on September 2, 2026, to bring together providers, policy experts, and digital health stakeholders for a collaborative discussion on the implementation of new telemedicine E/M codes 98000–98015. This dialogue will examine early adoption experiences, reimbursement challenges, and opportunities to strengthen evidence and policy alignment supporting virtual care delivery.

This roundtable will include:

• Expert insights on the current landscape, application, and policy considerations surrounding telemedicine E/M codes 98000–98015;

• Provider perspectives on implementation challenges, reimbursement variation, and operational impacts across care settings; and,

• Collaborative dialogue on data gaps and research priorities needed to inform future policy and payment decisions.

Please note that in-person seating is limited to 20 attendees and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A virtual participation option is available for those unable to attend in person.
